Job Summary:
Our client,an international accounting firm, is looking for a CPA/ASA to work in their NYC office. The Manager role requires a demonstrated ability to accomplish performance objectives directly and through the effective supervision of subordinate staff.

Job Responsibilities:
•Performs the duties, and assumes the responsibilities, of a licensed professional.
•Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of analysis approach, methodology, tools, and practice areas.
•Demonstrates mastery of all accounting and/or valuation principles, practices and procedures.
•Demonstrates expertise in accounting, valuation, investigation and business skills in assisting clients involved in disputes or in the investigation of impropriety.
•Reviews and analyzes historical financial and industry information, revenue and expense projections and damage evaluations.
•Solid negotiating and problem solving skills.
•Performs other related tasks
•Sets and achieves challenging personal and client service team goals within a multi-tasking environment.
•Ability to apply experiences and quickly adapt to new circumstances in the workplace and in a field environment.
•Organizes and carries out business development activities in consultation with partners.
•Gives presentations to clients on technical issues.
•Contacts new clients and develops new sources of business.
•Writes articles for various industries, firm and other publications.
•Conducts presentations and seminars.
•Attends meetings for the purpose of developing contacts.
•Continues consistent involvement in industry functions and involves staff as much as possible.
•Maintains strong client relations and cross-sell services.
•Acts with the highest professional ethics and in accordance with the relevant professional standards and practices at all times, including the regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and ASA and other governing bodies as applicable.
•Understands and consistently follows and enforces rules, policies and procedures.
•Performs other related duties and assignments as required

Job Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
•Posses and maintain valid CPA license or other approved credential such as the ASA, ABV or AVA.
•5-7 years of progressive experience in Public Accounting or appropriate private industry positions.
•Demonstrated expertise in broad-based business and financial valuations, multi-discipline appraisals, and fairness opinions, especially those of closely held companies, focusing on federal and state tax, financial report, and estate planning, as well as for tangible and intangible assets including purchase price allocations, intellectual property, ESOPs, and estate and gift and other non-litigation valuations; knowledge in FAS 141/142 and transfer pricing. Highly analytical with expertise in financial analysis and modeling, econometrics, statistics, and regression analysis.
•General knowledge of accounting systems and specific industries
•Demonstrates expert computer, work file and work paper organizational skills.
