Sr. Application Specialist (SAP)

Sr. Application Specialist (SAP)
DESCRIPTION:
Maintain Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management, and Service Management SAP Modules.
Evaluate business needs and change requests; analyze options and determine appropriate solutions.
Document modifications to configuration.
Provide Consignment and Cooperative Advertising systems maintenance.
Assist end users with their daily responsibilities and troubleshoot, configure, test and implement any changes.
Provide table maintenance and error correction.
Work with outside vendors for major project implementations; i.e., service web project or business process changes.
Create queries and make mass data changes; i.e., CATTS
Maintain subcontractor errors processing.
Maintain cost rates for activity levels.
Update tables associated with vendor pricing for subcontractor processing.
Interface between users and programmers for any programming/SAP script changes.
Maintain New Standard Texts for Service Orders.
Define authorization profiles and make design modifications as necessary.
Understand and propose system options for the MM Module; i.e., purchasing, inventory management, logistics invoice verification, physical inventory, valuation, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), foreign/trade customs, material master.
Maintain Material groups.
Maintain product hierarchies.
Maintain international codes to pay duty fees; i.e., TSUS codes
Maintain movement types for IM locations.
Maintain periods for material management.
Provide logistics execution for inbound, outbound and Internal Warehouse Processes (IM and WM).
Process and oversee interfaces for Japan – H41 ASN, UPS material master download, ASN download, receiving upload and PEAK factory receiving.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong SAP knowledge of SD, MM, SM configuration
Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
Experience with ECC 6.0 or greater release of SAP R/3
SAP certification a plus
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Detail oriented
Customer service oriented
Ability to work independently or as a team member
Transportation software experience
Understanding of sales and service business processes
Knowledge of purchasing and foreign trade and customs
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5 + years related IT and/or Applications experience
5 + years hands on configuration and support experience, including system upgrades
5 + years experience in Programming
