Technical Support Specialist III

Our client is seeking a Technical Support Specialist III to join the IT Operations team and provide help desk services and desktop/laptop field support to internal employees at our onsite Bradenton location as well as remote support for our traveling staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deploying and servicing desktop/laptop hardware including software applications for Blackberry, windows mobile, VPN clients, wireless hardware and software within a large enterprise
• High proficiency in troubleshooting wireless and remote connectivity to field and remote users
• Windows XP, Vista and 7 experience: client installs, networking configuration, remote desktop access, printer setups, VPN access, file server access, account administration, user and server manager
• Start-to-finish ownership of all problems brought to the Help Desk, including end-user desktop support and day-to-day business procedures
• PC software: experience with MS Office 2007, Outlook and Symantec AV products
• High proficiency in desktop/laptop configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Maintain user documentation, support intranet web pages, and conduct training sessions
• Telephony: VOIP administration - add/change extensions and voicemail, Call Center software administration
• Prompt and regular attendance
Qualifications:
• At least 7 years of paid professional technical support experience
• At least 3 of those years directly supporting laptops, mobile devices and other remote and wireless software and hardware to field users
• Demonstrated analytical abilities
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, PC hardware/software and peripherals, data and telecommunication skills
• Superior knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
• Ability to accurately and urgently interpret and fulfill internal customer requirements to achieve customer satisfaction
• Demonstrate a diverse ability to be a team player and work effectively with peers, customers and members of management as well as prioritize work autonomously and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to listen and interface with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Prospective candidate must be able to pass drug and background check.
