PMO Analyst
at Synergy One in Tampa, Florida
The PMO Analyst is responsible for managing the overall sourcing activities associated within IT Services Business Unit. Responsible for leading sourcing strategies on high impact strategic focus projects by managing the supplier sourcing process and the tooling developing process in collaboration with the IT, the Project Management, and Senior Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assure all sourcing awards are in compliance with organization
Lead and manage the execution of contracts and the sourcing of new supplier additions to the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
Create Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP)
Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies. Lead team members and less experienced Purchasing Agents to prioritize and drive implementation practices
Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies in markets as business requirements dictate
Manage and monitor supplier performance/quality and provide objective reviews to management
Work with cross functional teams to develop suppliers directly related to Global Sourcing and Research & Development
Understand the purchasing, planning, & scheduling of production related needs and related materials in support of New Product Development (NPD) and inventory management goals
Work cross functionally with other Business Units on new initiatives
Aggressively seeks out cost reduction opportunities in conjunction with mangement to obtain the over-all lowest cost.
Exercise judgment and experience to make purchases consistent with specified levels of quality, delivery, and price
Proactive management and timely communication of potential or current problems which may have significant impact on business
Manage the outsourcing of R/D design projects
Requirements
B.S, Business or equivalent with 5+ years of demonstrated experience in procurement. Demonstrated project management and leadership experience.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Medical Procurement, ERP knowledge ( JD Edwards).
Skills/Competencies:
Negotiation, experience with purchasing contracts, ability to anticipate, mitigate and manage strategic sourcing risks proactively, experience running cost reduction initiatives, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in teams, self directed, demonstrated ability to resolve complex sourcing issues, ability to mentor and train less experienced peers, ability to manage multiple suppliers collaboratively and with composure
Other Skills: Presentation skills, computer efficiency (Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Project)
