Sr. IT Support Specialist
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Our client is looking for an experienced. IT Support Specialist to be part of their IT Operations Support division. The Sr. IT Support Specialist will be solely responsible for the technical support and maintenance of the enterprises Remote Communications, and Desktop Support.
The Qualified candidate must show expertise supporting the following: printers, desktops, laptops, Smartphone’s, PDA’s etc. Additional experience and through knowledge of IT networks and systems administration is essential in this role.
Experience Requirements:
• At least 8 years of professional IT experience directly supporting large end users environments. Preferably over 500+ users
• 5 years of windows Desktop and laptop support
• 5 years of experience in LAN/WAN, Wifi, cabling, routers, print and file servers, support
• 5 years supporting wireless handheld devices including issues with connectivity, push e-mail, configuration (Blackberry, Pocket PC/Windows Mobile, Activesync)
• Deep knowledge of of Microsoft Office and Active Directory/TCP-IP concepts.
• Experience with hardware replacement/upgrade techniques
• Experience with various remote control and VPN tools
Technical Qualifications:
• Expert Knowledge with, IIS, DNS, DHCP, WINS
• Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certification or equivalent experience.
• Windows Server 2000/2003/2008
• Microsoft Exchange 5.5/2000/2003/2007
• SQL Server 2000/2005
• Support and troubleshoot firewall and security products
Education/ Certification:
• At least an Associate’s degree in Computer science or similar
• A+, Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Training towards advanced MCSE/MCSA certifications
Must pass and clear FBI background check, professional and personal reference check and drug test to be considered for this opportunity
