Application Developer
(Telecommute/Virtual Office)
We are looking for highly skilled, highly motivated Application Developer, wanting to make a real difference and thrive to exceed our client’s expectations. Our client’s development philosophy is to assemble small agile teams of about 5-7 people, consisting of experienced Web Developers with strong skill sets and a team player attitude. The Application Developers primary responsibilities are to collectively determine the best solution, commit to a schedule, and deliver. Developers, testers, technical writers, and others work hand in hand and code reviews, unit testing, performance testing, etc. are part of our iterative and incremental deliveries.
An ideal candidate would bring strong technical skills, domain expertise and experience, and be an excellent team player. In addition, you would be a strong communicator with good analytical skills who is looking for the ultimate next (team) challenge.* Design and develop well-documented and testable software UI components* Perform Design Reviews, Code Reviews, and implement Unit Tests* Participate in Agile Project & Task Planning and Status Reporting* Collaborate with testers on your team to ensure appropriate testing is performed and with technical writers to ensure manuals are in synch with the developed software* Work in cross-functional project teams that include Development, Marketing, Usability, Software Quality Assurance, Customer Learning, and Support* Developing detailed requirements, functional specifications, and design documents* Understand and follow IT quality system procedures that are applicable to the job.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• AS or BS in Computer Science.
• 5+ Years experience in C#/.NET development
• 5+ Years experience in ASP.NET development
• 5 + Years experience with Visual Studio 2005 and/or Visual Studio 2008
• 5+ Years web development background and software life cycle experience
• 2+ Years experience in AJAX / JavaScript
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and analytical thinking style.
• Proven track record of being a strong team player.
• A positive and result-focused “can-do” attitude.
• MUST HAVE NO MORE THAN 3 JOBS IN THE LAST 7 YEARS
Highly Desired:
• MCAD / MCSD / MCST / MCPD certifications
• Masters Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Experience in WPF or Silverlight development
• Experience with Team Foundation Server
• Experience with Agile software development
• Experience with developing Ecommerce/Hi tech-regulated software systems
• Experience with WCF and client server systems
• Experience with SQL Server 20005/2008 and database technology
