full time Business Systems Analyst - Supply Chain

at Synergy One in Ft. Myers, FL

Position Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be responsible for interacting directly with business users to understand and document business processes, gather business requirements, and facilitate system design activities. S/he will work closely with staff to examine existing business models and data/work flows and assist in creating new business models and data/work flows. S/he will be responsible for designing improved IT solutions based on these data/work flows, produce outline designs and costings of new IT systems. The BSA will provide work-flow and system use analysis; training (both virtually and on location); writing documentation for systems support; functioning as a conduit for information/feedback about user’s needs; and conducting user testing.

Additionally, the BSA will provide technical support for RA’s customized Salesforce.com implementation and ongoing advancements including customization, report development, training, support, maintenance, and system enhancement. S/he will also ensure the future technology solutions employed by RA function optimally and are utilized effectively. S/he will function as an administrator for RA-wide business applications, coordinate user training for business systems, provide data management and reporting services, and facilitate communication between end users, RA management, programmers and vendors.

Responsibilities:
Analysis
• Serve as first point of contact for assigned business stakeholders and quickly get up to speed with key business issues and priorities;
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Business Requirements Document, Functional Specifications, Process Maps, Use Cases, Entity Relationship Diagrams, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, Test Scripts);
• Work with business contacts to facilitate, develop, and improve business processes, and help the business understand potential technology solutions;
• Serve as a liaison between the business and technical teams in order to translate user requirements into system specifications;
• Collaborate with developers and provide detailed functional specifications to technical team;
• Simplify complex business problems through innovative process re-engineering;
• Assist in the preparation of project plans outlining expected tasks and activities;
• Participate in the review of detailed technical designs; and
• Create test scripts and conduct user acceptance testing.
Salesforce.com
• Function as Salesforce.com system administrator and trainer;
• Develop limited coding, custom objects and workflow processes as required;
• Implement data de-duping, data import and data export;
• Facilitate the process of identifying and integrating additions or deletions of data fields or other system design elements;
• Configure shared custom reports, queries, dashboards, user access rights, and security profiles;
• Ensure effective data integration between Salesforce and other RA business systems; and
• Support Director of Evaluation and Research as well as RA Divisions in data analysis and transfer.
Certification Business Systems
• Serve as one of three administrators for RA certification business systems;
• Conduct user training to ensure effective use of business systems;
• Participate in managing data integration process between Salesforce and external applications;
• Assist all programs with generating reports and queries; and
• Support integration of new business processes and data management systems.
General Business System Support
• Provide guidance and support to staff serving in administrator roles for specific systems such as Solomon (Accounting), Raisers Edge (Development), Eximware’s supply chain management tool (Sustainable Agriculture), and all other division-specific databases;
• Trouble-shoot and resolve technical issues related to data management;
• Serve as the backup technical liaison to software vendors, implementers and consultants for all business technology solutions and related projects;
• Work directly with users in support of reporting metrics across the organization; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field required;
• 1-2 years Salesforce Administrator experience preferred;
• Experience in business analysis in the CRM discipline and proficiency in using a CRM product is required;
• Experience with data migration to Salesforce from other systems preferred;
• Experience in providing hands-on IT customer support;
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills;
• Experience working with cross functional teams and global users to provide ongoing support;
• Strong data management skills and best practices experience;
• Strong computer skills (MS Excel and Access);
• Project management experience with standardized project management methodologies;
• Self starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment;
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks across program groups;
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with user groups;
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks;
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel as well as with customers who have limited computer proficiency;
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus;
• Non Profit background a plus; and
• Ability and willingness to travel 15-25% of the time.
