Location: NY, NY
Base Salary: up to 140k

Job Summary:
Our client, a large restaurant chain, is looking for a corporate controller

Supervisory responsibilities:
Controller
Managers of information technology
Legal/insurance claim assistant
(the Assistant Controller, payroll clerks, Accounts Payable Supervisor and operations analysts report to the Controller).
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of such. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include understanding information technology related to financial information requirements; training; monitoring performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employee; and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
Listed below are the desired qualifications regarding knowledge, skill and ability required to assure successful performance of each essential duty:
Bachelor degree from a four year college or university
Three or more years public accounting (preferably with a Big Four firm and, preferably, a CPA)
Restaurant industry experience
Financial expertise, personal integrity, strategic vision and communication skills
Appetite for accomplishment and results


Skills:
Ability to review, analyze and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
Ability to produce reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

This position reports to Chief Financial Officer.
