Project Manager (EPM / EMR)
POSITION PURPOSE
Manages the delivery of complex, medium to large business/IT project initiatives. Coordinates and facilitates the development of business and technical requirements, system design, configuration, testing, training, conversion, activation activities and transition to support. Responsible for managing team members through implementation and serves as an interface with senior management, sponsors and stakeholders. Determines product requirement plans, verifies site readiness, determines and monitors project costs and timelines and ensure product deliverables meet customer expectations for quality and functionality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Three to five years experience with managing progressively complex projects and ability to apply appropriate project management methodology. Demonstrated ability in analyzing customer requirements and developing basic information systems solutions typically acquired through three to five years of directly related experience in a particular product line or technology solution. Knowledge of and experience with change control, risk management, project planning, team management, budgeting and scheduling. Ability to manage multiple and ever-changing priorities. Ability to communicate with non-technical leaders and business owners providing a clear understanding of appropriate technology solutions to support and enhance business needs. Some knowledge of and experience with clinical application systems (i.e., hospital work environment, technical terminology, etc.). Considerable knowledge of and experience in developing and managing project budgets and staffing needs. Considerable knowledge of multiple technologies and experience with enterprise-wide applications and systems in an integrated work environment. Project Management coursework or certification preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Candidates with experience implementing Physician Office systems desirable. Preference given to those with NextGen EPM or EHR experience.
