Application Developer

SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a Lead Application Developer and the Manager of Application Development, the Application Developer will practice Design For Testability (DFT), Design for Operability (DFO), and Test-Driven Development as part of a Scrum team chartered with production of key products for the business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities *Keep the build unbroken. *Utilize sound Test-Driven Development practices on new development (*red/green/refactor*). *Take an active role in all teleconference Scrum team meetings, including Daily Scrums, Retrospectives, Sprint Planning Meetings, and Demonstrations. *Refactor code whenever possible to improve its readability, testability, maintainability, and performance. *Maintain the automated suite of integration tests to aid in frequent, automated regression testing. *Develop and maintain a mutually productive and rewarding relationship with all members of the product team, including the ScrumMaster, Product Owner, fellow committed team members (*pigs*), and observers (*chickens*).

Experience Required: *Minimum 4 years software development experience with Microsoft web-based application development technology. *Minimum 1 year agile development experience, especially Test-Driven Development. *Must have mastered knowledge with at least 3 years of experience in the following: VB.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, .Net 2.0+. *SQL programming skills with MS SQL Server 2000/2005. *Solid understanding of Web technologies (HTML, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, XML, XSL, etc.) *Helpful experiences include: Development with AJAX, SOA/ESB, .NET 3.5, WCS, WFW and familiarity with agile development processes.

This is 100% telecommute / virtual office position
This is position will require occasional travel to either our Tampa, Florida or New York City offices
